The Among Foundation’s work in Mongolia is built upon parallel ministry strategies. Those two ministries are Television Ministry and Steppe-by-Steppe. The Television Ministry is oriented to the urban population of Ulaanbaatar where one-third of the population lives. Steppe By Steppe is oriented to the rural/countryside population. Each ministry utilizes a media based three-phase approach to bringing the Gospel to this Central Asian people.

At church I heard that if I believed in Jesus I would be saved. It seemed so simple compared to the rites and rituals of Buddhism. In 1998, after attending church for some time, I made the decision to follow Christ. I was 19 at the time. I began serving in missions soon after that.

Right away we expressed our desire to adopt the baby but the director of the orphanage told me they wanted to adopt her out to a Christian family. Right then and there I decided to accept Christ so that I could adopt the child. After a month of attending church and discipleship classes we were allowed to adopt the little girl. My daughter is 13 now and I have come a long way in my walk with Christ.

There were 8 of us and 6 died. The doctors thought I wouldn’t make it but miraculously I did. Not long after, my mother passed away. I was in a dark place in my life when two women from World Vision shared the Gospel with me and invited me to their Christmas program. There, I decided to follow Jesus. I struggled a lot and it took me 2 years to leave my alcoholic life. In 2004 in a YWAM DTS I rededicated my life to Christ and was freed from all my old sinful ways.

  • Vision:

Before coming to Christ I hated the Chinese. After I accepted Christ it became clear that God was calling me to love and minister to them. Without going into too much detail, my heart is to serve the Chinese people and share God’s love with them.
